What is a Battery Button Trace ID?
A Battery Button Trace ID is a unique code formed into an internal face of the Battery Button. It stays out of sight while the button is fitted, but remains readable when the button is removed from the battery.

How to identify a Battery Button without the Trace ID
If the ID is hard to read, or the Battery Button is still fitted, send us a photo of the complete battery and any visible wording. We may still be able to identify the model and guide you to the code.
- Photograph the whole battery or loose button
- Include the location and date it was found
- Do not post the full Trace ID publicly
